Shannon is a photographer, writer and entrepreneur who lives in San Francisco with her husband, toddler and new baby. As a biracial woman Shannon wanted to create a lifestyle blog that showcased a black family exploring new parenthood. She cares deeply about learning and growing the Baby Woke Mama community for people of all backgrounds and stages of parenting to share the parenthood journey through a woke and warm approach.

The blog is targeted mainly towards women but embraces all people who are sharing in the parenthood journey, are curious about food, fashion, design, culture, parenting approaches and who want to build community.
