A friend said that she doesn’t mind baby clutter because she likes that her home looks like a baby lives there. I appreciate and get the sentiment. Sometimes I trip over one of Fitz’s rubber ducks in the shower and think “oh, how things have changed.” Overall though, I HATE clutter. If it belongs to Fitz, Marcos, or myself, I still feel the same way about it. I need clear spaces to think, relax and recharge.
I spent way too much time on Craigslist, Ikea and All Modern searching for a perfect storage unit. I asked friends in the neighborhood how they deal with toys and no storage in old homes. Realizing I had to just figure something out and that it wouldn’t be perfect, I pulled the trigger and bought this vintage armoire. It is a small piece, it fit in my hatchback, and doesn’t take up a lot of space. I love it because you can see and access his toys during playtime and then close it and have a serene space again. I prefer the shelving to storage boxes because the storage boxes ended up being black holes.
