Denver Square Renovation: Kitchen Part 1

Updated: Jul 1

Marcos and I moved into our house 1908 Denver square in June.  We knocked down the wall between the kitchen and dining room on day one. The house had a bathroom in the kitchen (not my thing) and a washer and dryer cabinet. We cook and host a lot of things so the counter space in the kitchen was the number one concern for us when we first toured the house. Also there were barely any cabinets and a third of our stuff is kitchen stuff.

This was the kitchen when we moved in. It had very little counter space and half of the kitchen was the laundry and bathroom.

We ended up moving the washer, dryer, and bathroom to the basement and knocked down the wall between the dining room and kitchen.

Stay tuned for part 2 next week and I will show you the final results with the countertops, tile, stove… and the big hole in the middle of the house gone. Have you taken on a renovation project? What products did you use? How did it go?
